They Think We’re Too Young
We are teens, who fell in love;
And we are kept apart.
Our parents don’t think kids like us
Can know what’s in our hearts.
But I’ll love you forever;
And I know you love me too;
So I promise, if you’ll wait for me,
I will wait for you.
When we’re eighteen and graduate,
Ours will be the only say;
And I promise that I’ll love you then
Just the way I do today.
