Your Special Allure
When twilight falls, I know that soon
You’ll be at my front door,
And I know my heart will flutter
As it always has before.
I thought I’d soon get over
My wondrous awe of you—
Get used to your good looks
And the special things you do;
But there’s something I can’t fathom
That gives you sublime allure—
Something that is yours alone,
Of that I’m wholly sure.
