OOPS, OOPS, OOPS!
I MUST be getting old—
I can’t remember anything
Unless I’m often told.
So I forgot your birthday;
That was bad of me for sure;
I’ve got an awful problem
No one can ever cure.
It’s called old age as you well know;
And I have a real bad case;
But after all, this happens
To the entire human race;
So I hope you will forgive me
For no longer being smart
And accept the huge good wishes
I send you from my heart.
___
I’m so sorry I forgot your birthday.
