Note: at the end of today’s Portion of Bible Text, you will find my thoughts on the verses. B.K.)

12 And thou shalt bring Aaron and his sons unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and wash them with water.

13 And thou shalt put upon Aaron the holy garments, and anoint him, and sanctify him; that he may minister unto me in the priest’s office.

14 And thou shalt bring his sons, and clothe them with coats:

15 And thou shalt anoint them, as thou didst anoint their father, that they may minister unto me in the priest’s office: for their anointing shall surely be an everlasting priesthood throughout their generations.

K.J.V. Bible Text

My Thoughts:

The Lord instructed Moses that after he had set up the tabernacle, he was to bring Aaron and his sons to the door and wash them with water before dressing Aaron in the holy garments, anointing him and sanctifying him. His sons also were to be clothed with coats and anointed to everlasting priesthood throughout their generations.

It seems to me that this would turn out to be a very important happening.  After the first of the month, when all this was done, both the tabernacle and priesthood the Lord had planned and ordered would be complete.
